In a recent post, “Thou Shalt Not Covet Part 1″, we discussed the issue of how condeming in another things which you secretly crave for yourself is, at best, an exercise in attracting more lack into your life. This time, we’re going to talk about three ways in which you can turn your perspective around and begin calling into your experience the abundance you crave… and deserve!
So how do you observe someone else, who has something you don’t, and move from a vibration of lack to a more abundance aligned vibration of asking, and then allowing, that thing to come to you? Whatever techniques or processes work best for you is, of course, the undeniably best route to take, but we can offer a few suggestions to help you get the ball rolling.
1. Consider your observance to be a “preview” of coming attractions! Many LoA students wisely take advantage of the opportunity to observe another having the experience of something that they, themselves, want. How so? For one thing, consider how much easier it becomes to “attract” something once you see “with your own eyes” that the having of it is actually possible. Indeed, more than few capable deliberate creators, understanding that being able to imagine an experience in the “mind” first causes Law of Attraction to call it into being in physical experience, in order to match the “inner reality” with “outward experience” – which is exactly how Law of Attraction works! Put yourself in their shoes. Feel the deliciousness of what it is like to be the person you are observing. And know, with blessed assuredness, that the having of it is obviously, irrefutably, possible to achieve. After all, “if he/she can do it… why can’t I?”

Once, when I was in my twenties, my friend (I’ll call her Mary) invited me to accompany her to her friend’s vacation home on a lake. We had a wonderful time, and the homeowner, Trish, was a lovely host. After leaving, though, I was shocked to hear my friend, Mary, say derogatory things about Trish, such as:
“What did she do to deserve two homes?”
“Trish has so much money, you’d think she’d loan some to her real friends.”
“It must be nice to have rich parents.”
I was stunned! My experience was totally different. My feelings were:
“How lucky I am to be here, to meet this wonderful person, to enjoy her awesome home, and to laugh together while dancing on her deck as the sunset reflected on the beautiful lake.”
My so-called friend, Mary, couldn’t even enjoy herself that day because her envy blinded her to all that was being offered to her. For me, any magical moments spent at this lake, in a luxurious home, making new friends, sharing laughter were fully welcome — and, for those moments, those things WERE mine!
We can feel abundant NOW, by being in the presence of that which we may dream of owning someday. For in that moment that you are enjoying that part of nature, that material thing you desire, that person’s presence which brightens your day – in that moment you already HAVE that which you dream of.
Oh WOW, Dora. What a powerfully clear and concise example of the exact things being talked about in this article! You’ve given all of us an exquisite gift; a way to effortlessly grasp just how powerful, and how influential, the gift of gratitude really is.
Oh, my GOODNESS. Can I possibly adore you anymore than I do already?
