[Q&A] The Call of Source: The Wisest Counsel

QUESTION: “Hey Jessie (and IB too)! Loving your posts so keep it up! I liked the quotes the other day too. One of your quotes I saw the other day said something about “there is no guidance wiser than your Source”. Well I wanted you to talk about that? Like by Source were you talking about something like God or a higher “me”?
And you said “you do have to use it”, so I was wondering if you’re referring to things like prayer or meditation? I’ve tried meditating but I always seem to have a problem just “being still” so does that affect my ability to use it? And I think I already pretty much know the answer but I’d like to see what you say about why you stress that Source guidance is wiser than anything else. Ok that’s enough to get you going right? Haha. Thanks Jess. Lemme know when you post this!” — Lainey
First of all, what exquisite questions! We love these issues that you bring up because they are so very important, so completely “core” to living the life of a freedom seeking creative genius always smack dab in the center of the natural flow of health, of wellbeing, of abundance, of prosperity. We love your asking these things because of the undeniable awareness alive within you that you are, in fact, an extension of the Source energy that creates worlds, and that you should seek the guidance of that loving Source energy. We love that you are aware, that you are eager for answers, and we can feel that you are in a place of receiving the answers you solicit. We appreciate YOU so very much, and we adore the totality of the magic, and the wonder, that is YOU.
For the sake of this conversation, let us recap the quote to which you are referring. Essentially, we say, “There is no guidance wiser, more brilliant, more precise or more accessible to you than the Source connection of your own inner being.” And then we point out, with no small degree of delight, that there is a catch; you must use it.
We really wanted to say, “There is no guidance wiser, more brilliant, more precise, more accessible, more loving, more universal, more truthful, more dependable, more pure, more uncorruptable, more unselfish, more eternal, easier to understand or more attuned to your own well being; but you have to be willing to do the work of determining that no one else can decide for you what is in the best interest of your own well being, deciding that you will let nothing and no one else take precedence over this natural guidance within you, understanding that the way you feel and the experiences you have always reflect each other perfectly, concluding first that feeling good, really feeling good IS in your best interest while feeling less than good is a clear indicator that you are moving in opposition of your wellbeing and finally cultivating the habit of always asking yourself, “how do I feel about this?” And, if you are not already really feeling good, the next question should always be, “what can I do, or what can I choose or what can I focus upon, that will help me feel just a little better than the way I feel now?”
But Jessie was rather alarmed about fitting all that into a tweet and insisted that, “brevity is the soul of wit.”
What we are referring to when we refer to “Source guidance” could be called “God” or “Buddha” or “Allah” or “Yahweh” or “Krishna” or “Jesus” or “Larry King”. Really, it matters not, but we generally translate “Source”, in this case, to mean what you would call your “higher self” or “inner being” (as if there is a tangible direction to the spirit!) or “divine spark” or what have you. The reason for this is really just because of the pre-existing connotations of the former list; that is, this predominant interpretation, when it comes to what you call “God”, that “God” is separate, apart from, or outside of, you; and this is so not the case. The energy that you call “God” is not separate from you, because that energy is the origin of you. Indeed, it is the origin of all things. We have heard you say, “God is everywhere, and is within all things,” and while we so enjoy it when anyone comes to this conclusion because of the sheer, loving connectivity to all things it offers, we would push this further.
We would say, “God is not just within all things. The energy that you call God IS all things. There is nothing that God is not!”
